In my scholarly work I investigate moments of social change, questioning issues of identity, representation, and opportunity. As a result, I have become committed to critical pedagogy and I am proud of the tradition CUNY has as a public institution in this regard. The works of Paulo Freire, Ira Shor, Adrienne Rich and James Berlin inform much of what I do in the classroom. I have had success with grading contract, collaborative papers, class wikis and multi-media final projects.
